Summary / Abstract:

LT2018 m. rugpjūtį–spalį LLKĮS žvalgė II Pasaulinio ir Lietuvos partizaninio karų vietas Jurbarko ir Kauno rajonuose, be to, kartu su PKI surengtos septintosios pilietinės jaunimo vasaros stovyklos "Laisvės kovų atmintis" metu tęsė žvalgymus Balandiškio apylinkėse (Radviliškio r.) (ATL 2012 metais, 2013, p. 642–651; ATL 2013 metais, 2014, p. 482–489; ATL 2014 metais, 2015, p. 587–592; ATL 2015 metais, 2016, p. 498–510; ATL 2016 metais, 2017, p. 441–450; ATL 2017 metais, 2018, p. 641–653; ATL 2017 metais, 2018, p. 653–656). Iš viso ekspedicijos metu žvalgyta 10 vietovių. Jų koordinatės nurodytos LKS 94 sistemoje. Lapgirių miške (Jurbarko r., Girdžių sen.) toliau ieškota Lietuvos partizano Petro Stankaus-Gruodžio (1918–1951) palaikų užkasimo vietos (ATL 2017 metais, 2018, p. 646). Akstiną tęsti paieškas suteikė gauta Lietuvos partizanų įamžintojo ir atkurto Lietuvos laisvės kovos sąjūdžio Kęstučio apygardos vado Vlado Meškausko-Karoso (1929–2015) parengtos biogramos kopija. ENIn 2018, the LLKĮS surveyed ten Second World War and Lithuanian Partisan War sites in Jurbarkas, Kaunas, and Radviliškis districts. The search for the burial site of Lithuanian partisan Petras Stankus (codename Gruodis) in Lapgiriai forest (Jurbarkas district) continued to be unsuccessful. A partisan campsite (three dugout sites) was surveyed in Žiemkelis forest (Kaunas district) and a partisan cemetery and the April 2018 find spot of a partisan archive were recorded. Door hinges, nails, kerosene lamp shards, pieces of decorative sheet glass, and brick fragments were discovered in the vicinity of one of the dugouts, a lock knife at the archive find spot. The site of a 1941 Red Army plane crash was identified in Bargailiai forest (Radviliškis district) but the search for the Lithuanian partisan campsite and battle site continued unsuccessfully. The site of a Lithuanian partisan bunker was found in Butkiai forest (Radviliškis district) and in surveying it, 23 finds were collected: Russian and German ammunition, a USSR coin, factory- made nails, and a fitting. The rural birthplace of the Mingėlas family, Lithuanian partisans, was located in Mažuoliai (Radviliškis district), and in surveying a partisan bunker site in Pašušvys forest (Radviliškis district), cook stove rings were discovered. A roughly 380 m2 area around the partisan dugout was surveyed in Legečiai forest (Radviliškis district) and 143 finds collected: Russian and German ammunition, parts of Russian hand grenades, partisan and Soviet military uniform elements, household items, and dugout construction elements. The collected finds provide meaningful data about the partisans who stayed in the dugout, their everyday life, and the battles that occurred there.
