Lithuania: regular public reporting yet society feels uninformed
ENRegular proactive communication of state institutions on issues related to the protection of critical infrastructure is limited to annual reports on the national cyber security status issued by the National Cyber Security Centre at the Ministry of National Defence (NSCS) and the jointly presented annual reports of the Second Investigations Department of the Ministry of Defence and State Security Department on the threats to national security. Both types of reports are analysed below, focusing mostly on the issues relevant to the protection of critical infrastructure, which comprises a relatively small part of the content, as the reports cover different types of threats (e.g., hybrid threats dominating in recent years) to the Lithuanian state and society.
