LTDisertacijos “Draudimo sistemos formavimas, Lietuvai integruojantis į Europos Sąjungą” tyrimo objektas – Lietuvos draudimo sistemos formavimo procesas. Darbo uždavinys analizuojant draudimo sistemos funkcionalumą bei teoriškai pagrindžiant draudimo sistemos formavimo procesą, apibūdinant Lietuvos draudimo rinką bei draudimo veiklos vykdymo nuostatas, lyginant jas su Europos Sąjungos nuostatomis bei ES šalių patirtimi, identifikuojant pagrindinius nuostatų skirtumus bei draudimo sistemos elementų institucinės struktūros tobulinimo galimybes ir atsižvelgiant į prognozuojamą draudimo rinkos augimą bei Lietuvos ir ES draudimo rinkų integracijos rezultatus nustatyti draudimo sistemai užduotas gaubiančiosios sistemos – valstybės – funkcijas ir teoriškai pagrįsti jų atlikimo įvertinimo kokybinę charakteristiką – draudimo sistemos funkcijų įgyvendinimo laipsnį, apibrėžti tolesnes draudimo sistemos formavimo galimybes, suderinti Lietuvoje galiojančias, draudimo veiklą reglamentuojančias nuostatas su atitinkamomis ES nuostatomis, siekiant sumažinti nepageidaujamus integracinių procesų rezultatus.

ENThe object of the dissertation entitled The Development Of Lithuania’s Insurance System, As The Country Is Integrating In The European Union is the development of Lithuania’s insurance system. The work is aimed at identifying the functions imposed on the insurance system by its surrounding system, which is the state; at providing a theoretical explanation for the qualitative evaluation of the performance of these functions: the implementation degree of the functions of the insurance system; at identifying opportunities for further development of the insurance system; at harmonising Lithuania’s insurance legislation with the respective EU legislation in order to minimize any potential negative impact by integration processes. These aims are achieved by analyzing the functionality of the insurance system, providing a theoretical explanation of the system’s development process, describing Lithuania’s insurance market and its regulation and comparing them with those of the EU as well as the experience of EU member states, identifying the main legislative differences, identifying improvement possibilities for the institutional structure of the insurance system, and by considering the forecasted growth of the insurance market as well as the results of integration of Lithuania’s insurance market and EU insurance markets.
