These issues are reflected in the context of Catholic theology. The topics of the letters and their contents reveal the Christological aspect - the look of Pope Francis to Jesus Christ, as example of suffering, a “suffering servant”, who responds to the fundamental questions of the meaning of suffering. It is an attitude, when the Pope sees not only the depth and severity of suffering, but also some degree of sense of meaning through Jesus Christ. In the letters, the pope says that Jesus Christis the most important answer to the questions of the meaning of suffering. He invites us to the path of love, the richest source of suffering. The faithful must learn from Christ how to leave their indifference and love their neighbour’s love for God’s love. The Pope’s letters also contain many Mariological references, that bring the faithful closer to the St. Virgin Mary as Mother, as a multiplier of virtues and a Teacher to whom they should seek hope. For all, who serve to the sick and the suffering, the Pope wishes to be inspired by the spirit of St. Mary, the Mother of Grace. The Ecclesiological aspect of disease and suffering is emerging. The Church has a part of Christ’s suffering and power of redemption. In the case of the disease, Christians can play an important role in accompanying the sick on their path of suffering and the Church by helping the Sacraments in their spiritual life and diseases. Jesus left a gift to the Church - the power of his treatment. “Those who believe will be accompanied by the signs: <...>They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be healed” (Mark 16: 17-18). The gift of Jesus corresponds to the task of the Church: to look up on the sick with the same glory as the Lord, full of gentleness and compassion. The Christian examples of sicks care are distinguished: the Good Samaritan, the suffering Jesus Christ, His Mother St. Virgin Mary, St. John and other disciples of Jesus, Catholic Church, St. Mother Teresa from Calcutta and others. The Model of Christian behaviour is the figure of the Good Samaritan. This is the main aspect to fall Christian doctrine. Pope Francis urges all doctors, nurses and other health care professionals to never forget he greatness of the taken trusted to them, not just to fight diseases, but also to improve the quality of life. He also emphasizes the need to understand transcendental human values. Christians of all denominations are invited to join, so that their life witnesses the Gospel and seek unity in a particular love service. Together with all the good will people, they have to care for the sick, improve the quality of life and protect human life.
