Legečių miško partizanų žeminės aplinka

LT2019 m. rugpjūtį LLKĮS tęsė Lietuvos partizanų žeminės Legečių miške (Radviliškio r., Šiaulėnų sen.) aplinkos žvalgymus (ATL 2018 metais, 2019, p. 595–598). Tyrimų metu surengta aštuntoji pilietinė jaunimo vasaros stovykla „Laisvės kovų atmintis“. Aptikti radiniai saugomi ŠAM, gyvulių kaulai – VU Bioarcheologijos tyrimų centro Zooarcheologijos laboratorijoje. 1948 m. kovo 29 d. Radviliškio MGB Mumšilio miške, dabar Legečių, surengė karinę operaciją. Joje dalyvavo Radviliškio MGB viršininko pavaduotojo majoro Poguliajevo va- dovaujami operatyvininkai, kareiviai ir stribai. Priešo pajėgas prie žeminės atvedė MGB kareivio uniforma perrengtas partizanų ryšininkas Povilas Grigaliauskas-Poviliukas (g. 1930 m. Mažuoliuose) – užverbuotas agentas Gaidys. [...] [p. 443].

ENIn 2019, the LLKĮS continued the field survey in the vicinity of the dugout of the Legečiai Forest (Radviliškis District) partisans. Three strips (roughly 250 m2) were thoroughly surveyed using a metal detector and a larger area unsystematically surveyed. A total of 143 finds were discovered in the vicinity of the dugout: Russian and German ammunition connected with the battle (86 finds), pieces of Russian hand grenades (4 finds), pieces of gear (1 find), Interwar Lithuanian, Wehrmacht, and Soviet army uniform elements (6 finds), clothing elements (3 finds), household utensils (16 finds), dugout construction elements (13 finds), and assorted items (14 finds). The investigation determined that Soviet soldiers and their assistants had attacked the dugout from the NE, E, and SE, firing at least 55 PPS submachine gun rounds and 16 Mosin carbine or semiautomatic SVT-40 rifle rounds. The partisans fired at least 4 Mauser carbine rounds, two pistol rounds, and one Nagant revolver round. At least 3 RG-42 hand grenades were used during the battle, one, based on the account of the battle by partisan Laurynas Mingėlas–Džiugas, thrown by the partisans. The everyday activities of the Legečiai Forest partisans occurred to the E–SE of the dugout. The discovered beef and pork bones with signs of chopping and slicing knives are likely the remains of Easter dinner on the eve of those fateful events of 29 March 1948.
