Summary / Abstract:

Buvo pasirinkta informacinių technologijų (toliau straipsnyje IT) sritis, išanalizuota 100 (n=100) darbo skelbimų IT srityje, skelbiamų Lietuvos darbo rinkai populiariose įsidarbinimo svetainėse. Tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė, kad šiandien rinkai reikalingas darbuotojas, gebantis sklandžiai komunikuoti raštu ir žodžiu, dirbti komandoje ir savarankiškai, į iškilusią problemą pažvelgti nestandartiškai bei įvairiais aspektais galimai įgyja konkurencinį pranašumą. Reikšminiai žodžiai: universalios kompetencijos, darbo rinka, įsidarbinimas. [Iš leidinio]

ENChange of priorities in future labour market philosophy reveals a clear shift from understanding that only technological innovations enable the economic wealth of society and growth of GDP, to a demand of social and value-driven development of skills. Education for future alongside with the labour market reveal the necessity of the skills which AI will be unable to to solve. It becomes clear that analytical, critical and creative approach to solve the problems, personal initiative, social skills become more valued than accumulation of knowledge in the memory. The aim of the study was to identify which soft skills are on the highest demand in the labour market today. The research was conducted using qualitative research method and within it the content analysis method to achieve the results was applied. The content analysis of job advertisements is used to identify a wide range of employability skills needed for today‘s market. The research identified 281 key terms for personal attributes mentioned in the job advertisements and 15 key terms for generic skills after making the skills groups according to Tuning methodology. The results were calculated according to frequency occurence of each skill within the total amount of personal attributes mentioned in the job advertisements and with paying attention to a frequency occurence of a single trait within 100 job advertisements. The study results showed that an individual with such skills as an ability to communicate fluently, including verbal and written skills, ability to team up and work individually, to solve problems creatively undoubtedly gains a competitive edge in the labour market. Keeping in mind the proposals displayed in the programme Horizon 2020 as an implication for instruction the bigger attention should be paid to human and social sciences in educating future specialists for any market. In light of the results, the study recommends that universities should make great efforts to ensure that they are equipping their graduates with employability skills as identified in the industry. Keywords: generic competences, labour market, employability. [From the publication]
