A Child in an institutional foster home : investigation of the possibilities of preparation for independent life

LTStraipsnis remiasi Statistikos departamento ir Jungtinių tautų švietimo programos parengtais pranešimais apie asmenų socialinį vystymąsi Lietuvoje, bei tyrimu, kuris buvo atliktas Kauno instituciniuose vaikų globos namuose. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos vaikų iš globos namų pasiruošimo savarankiškam gyvenimui ugdymo galimybės. Nustatomos priežastys, kurios kliudo suteikti būtinąją pagalbą vaiko, praradusio savo tėvus, sėkmingai integracijai į aplinką jam sulaukus aštuoniolikos metų. Straipsnyje taip pat yra analizuojami apklausos, sudarytos remiantis kitomis apklausomis dėl pirmųjų vaikų globos namų įsipareigojimų, tyrimo rezultatai. Abiejų kategorijų respondentų atsakymai nebuvo lyginami dėl skirtingo respondentų skaičiaus bei netobulai paruošto apklausos metodo pirmiesiems vaikų globos namų įsipareigojimams tirti (dauguma punktų, svarbių tolesnei integracijai į gyvenimą, nebuvo pristatyti kaip klausimai). Todėl straipsnio autorė keliais skirtingais aspektais bando palyginti pasiruošimo buvusiems ir dabartiniams globos namų įsipareigojimams rezultatus. ENThis article is based on the reports on the social development of a person in Lithuania prepared by the Statistics Department and the Education programme of the United Nations as well as on the research carried out in the institutional children foster homes in Kaunas. It deals with the educational possibilities preparing a child of a foster home for independent life and indicates the reasons preventing from rendering the necessary assistance for a child who lost his/her parents for the successful integration into the environment after he/she reaches the age of eighteen. The research results of the survey questioning the former charges of children foster homes carried out according to the other questionnaire are also analysed in the article. The answers of the respondents of both categories were not intended to be compared due to the different number of respondents and due to the imperfectly prepared method of survey for the former charges of children foster homes (a lot of items important for the further integration into the life were not presented as questions). Therefore the author of the article tries to compare in some particular aspects the results of preparation for life of former and current charges of foster homes. [From the publication]
