LTStraipsnyje analizuojami vyresnio amžiaus žmonių mitybos ir miego pokyčiai Covid-19 pandemijos metu. Tyrimo tikslas – išanalizuoti vyresnio amžiaus žmonių nuomonę apie mitybą ir miego pokyčius Covid-19 pandemijos metu. Tyrimo metodika. Tyrimas vyko 2021 metų rugsėjo–2022 metų vasario mėnesiais. Duomenų surinkimui, parengta internetinė anketinė apklausa. Apklausta 90 respondentų. Rezultatai. 41,9 proc. apklaustųjų patyrė miego pokyčius pandemijos metu. 32,2 proc. apklaustųjų dėl epizodinių trikdžių pablogėjo miegas. Mitybos pokyčius turėjo 33,3 proc. apklaustųjų. 52,2 proc. apklaustųjų turėjo blogą apetitą, valgo vieni ar laikosi specialios dietos. Išvados. Trečdalis apklaustųjų turi mitybos pokyčius, kurie daugumoje atvejų priklauso nuo rijimo. Miegui įtakos turi epizodiniai miego stresoriai, trumpa miego trukmė. Ketvirtadalis apklaustųjų miego pokyčių nepastebėjo.

ENThe article analyses changes in nutrition and sleep of elderly people during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of research was to analyse the opinion of elderly people about changes in nutrition and sleep during the Covid -19 pandemic. Research methods. Research was carried out in September 2021 – February 2022. An Internet questionnaire was prepared for data collection. A total of 90 respondents were interviewed: 43 (47.8 %) males and 47 (52.2%) females. The average age of the respondents was 54.8±15.3 years. Changes in nutrition and sleep were evaluated, the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scale was used. The duration of sleep, the ordinary sleep effectiveness, sleep disorders, the use of medication, health and well-being were assessed. To evaluate changes in nutrition, a mini nutritional assessment questionnaire was used. Nutritional habits, eating problems, nutrition disorders were assessed. Results. 41.9 per cent of the respondents experienced changes in sleep during the pandemic. Quality of sleep remained unchanged for one fourth of the respondents in a group of 71-year and older people. 32.2 per cent of the respondents reported a deterioration in sleep due to episodic disturbances. 58.6 per cent of the respondents indicated more frequent sleep disorders when the duration of sleep was longer than 7 hours. 33.3 per cent of research subjects experienced changes in nutrition. 4.4 per cent of the research subjects had swallowing problems. 52.2 per cent of the respondents have poor appetite, have meals on their own or follow a special diet. Conclusions. One third of the respondents experienced changes in nutrition; in most cases these changes were related to swallowing disorders. Episodic sleep stressors, a short duration of sleep have an effect on sleep. One fourth of the respondents did not experience any changes in sleep.
