Asmenvardžių rašyba: "problema", kurią laikas "išspręsti"

LTAsmenvardžių „autentiškumo“ kultas yra ne kas kita kaip stabmeldystė, kai garbinamas rašytinis - regimasis vardo pavidalas, dargi būtinai svetimas, pridengiant ir užgniaužiant jo skambesį - garsinį turinį. Lietuvoje ši stabmeldystė yra pasiekusi tiesiog kliedesio laipsnį, kai nepraleidžiama nė menkiausia proga mazochistiškai pasimėgauti iškraipyta, sudarkyta savo kalba, keliaklupsčiaujant prieš viską, kas svetima, ir kuo labiau tai darko kalbą, tuo saldžiau. Akivaizdu, kad šiuolaikiniam „pažangiam“ lietuviui vienintelė belikusi visavertiškumo viltis - išvis atsižadėti lietuviškumo. Tokiomis aplinkybėmis, atjausdamas tautiečių kančią ir suprasdamas troškimą kuo giliau nuslėpti šią savo sunkią dvasinę negalią, siūlau nebesikankinti ir nedelsiant visai atsisakyti lietuviško rašto. Ryžtingai ir galutinai. Tik taip galima iš tikrųjų „išspręsti“ tą įsisenėjusią, užpūliavusią, nebepakeliamą mūsų „problemą“ - kad vis tebesame apgailėtini lietuviai. Tereikia atsižadėti, ir iškart lengviau atsikvėpsime. Ir gyvensime kaip žmonės. Na, kadangi dar truputį skauda, padarykime tai palengva, step by step, taip, kad net nepajus- tume. Kaip tik šiuo šviesiu keliu mus dabar veda išmintingieji mūsų kalbininkai ir politikai [Išvados, Nr. 3, p. 73].

ENThe article raises the issue of writing (transcribing) of foreign personal names in Lithuanian texts. It is noted that we do not have a unified system, according to which it is clear when and what personal names are written in authentic form and when - in Lithuanian. Arguments used by authors or editors are overly subjective and difficult to predict. Even famous individuals like Martin Luther can be written simultaneously as Martinas Lutheris and Martynas Liuteris. Numerous examples of academic publications are used to support these statements. It is considered that the “Lithuanianisation” of personal names could be abandoned entirely, but it would soon become clear that many authors in different languages (German, Polish, Latin, recently also English) wrote and continue to write them differently. Therefore, according to the author, the only possible system of personal names is to write all personal names in Lithuanian. No exceptions. In the long run, the rules on their transcription will become more or less strict, and gradually becoming stricter.The article [Part II] raises the issue of writing (transcribing) foreign personal names in Lithuanian texts, this time - in Lithuanian translations of the texts from cultures and languages that do not use so called Latin based characters. Now we still do not have a unified system according to which it would be clear when a foreign (Chinese, Indian, Iranian, even modern Greek, etc.) personal name is written in Lithuanian and when, for example, in English (ch, j, y, etc. spell different sounds in these languages). Numerous examples of academic and popular translations are presented in support. The conclusion is that the only possible system of foreign (especially oriental) personal names is to write them in Lithuanian. Only the adjustment with the artificial international (usually English based) orthography should be established.
