Tylusis šauklys: Jono Stasaičio gyvenimas ir kūryba
LTStraipsnyje 100-ųjų gimimo metinių proga apžvelgiamas poeto, tremtinio, Pasaulio tautų teisuolio, krikščionio pasauliečio Jono STAŠAIČIO (1921–2012) gyvenimas ir kūryba. Pasak literatūrologės Ilmos MAZRIMIENĖS, ši asmenybė gyveno ir kūrė laikydamasi žmogaus, kaip vertybės apskritai, principo. Rūpestis dėl žmogiškumo išsaugojimo, tautos, kalbos ir tėvynės likimo buvo nulemtas šios jo pasaulėžiūros tiek gelbėjant žmonių gyvybes nuo holokausto, tiek platinant uždraustą spaudą, dalyvaujant Sąjūdžio veikloje, tiek kūryboje. Sugebėjimas tyliai ištarti „Aš – žmogus“ lydėjo kuklų, bet nepaprastą Jono Stašaičio gyvenimą.
ENThe article reviews the life and work of the poet, deportee, Righteous Among the Nations, and lay Christian Jonas STAŠAITIS (1921–2012), in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of his birth. According to the literary researcher Ilma MAZRIMINENĖ, his life and writings were directed by the principle that a human is himself a virtue. His concern to save humanity, the fate of his nation, his language and his homeland was directed by this world view, which he expressed by saving lives during the Holocaust, distributing banned publications, participating in the activities of Sąjūdis (the movement for Lithuanian independence of the 1980s and 1990s), and his creative work. The ability to silently declare ‘I am a human’ inspired Jonas Stašaitis throughout his modest but extraordinary life.
