Tarp "Traviatų": profesionaliai Lietuvos operos scenai – 100 metų

LTProfesionalaus Lietuvos operos teatro amžius, kitaip tariant, visas šimtmetis (1920–2020), skatina atsigręžti ir bent atskirais aspektais įvertinti šio žanro nueitą kelią mūsų scenoje. Profesionali opera, tarpukariu savo gyvavimą pradėjusi Kaune – tuometinėje laikinojoje sostinėje, vėliau, žinoma, persikėlė į atgautą sostinę Vilnių, nes Operos teatras visais laikais suvoktas kaip valstybinės reikšmės objektas. Dabar tai – Lietuvos nacionalinis operos ir baleto teatras – didžiausia šalies scena. Šiandienis šio teatro statusas, jo naujos kūrybinės kryptys renčiamos ant šimtametės patirties polių ir kartkartėmis vis ataidinčių tradicijų. ENThe century of Lithuanian operatic theatre, that is, a whole hundred years (1920–2020), makes us reflect on and evaluate the journey of this genre across the Lithuanian stage. Professional opera began in the interwar years in the temporary capital, Kaunas, and later moved to the regained capital, Vilnius, because opera has always been appreciated as an activity of national importance. National opera now manifests itself in the form of the Lithuanian Nation al Opera and Ballet Theatre, the biggest stage in the country. Its modern creative direction rests on a hundred years of experience, and occasional echoes of tradition. How has the repertoire emerged over the last century? Has it really been dominated by Italian opera? Where is Lithuanian opera going as it enters its second century? These and other questions are answered in this study of the policy of the operatic repertoire by the theatrologist and opera critic Rima JŪRAITĖ.
