Summary / Abstract:

ENThe aim of the paper is to discuss and analyse the of social competence of students in the light of the results of the questionnaire survey on their social capital. The survey was carried out among students starting education of the Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Szczecin, Poland in 2013, of the Faculty of Politics and Management at the Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2014 and of the Faculty of Economics University at the Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia in 2015. Presented paper is both theoretical and empirical. The aim of the its fi rst part is to present the theoretical background of social competences. The second part contains description of methodology used in the article and the characteristics of the respondents. The third part presents selected results from the survey.
