Bernardo Brazdžionio memorialinės bibliotekos knygos

ENWhen executing Bernardas Brazdžionis' testament the family of the poet handed the archival and memorial heritage to Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum. This was not incidental - Brazdžionis had been the first head of the museum during 1940-1944. Brazdžionis memorial library is the largest library in Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum. Books constitute a separate part. The memorial library comprises 5482 books. There are all books published by the author (128). The memorial library comprises the books with autographs Lithuanian writers and poets; many of them have inscriptions by Antanas Gustaitis, Just.Marcinkevičius, Jurgis Jankus, Mykolas Karčiauskas, Jonas Mekas, Pulgis Andriušis, Jonas Aistis, Alė Rūta and others. Underlined parts and comments in the margins show that the poet read these books with a pencil in his hand. Brazdžionis memorial library's books point to the poet's interest in the literature of other countries.
