Summary / Abstract:

LTŠiuo straipsniu siekiama ankstyvąją Bernardo Brazdžionio poeziją perskaityti XX amžiaus pradžios madingų ir įvairiomis formomis Vakarų Europoje, ypač vokiškakalbių šalių kultūroje, gyvavusių „gyvenimo filosofijos” idėjų kontekste. Šių idėjų radimasis susijęs su moderniaisiais laikais stiprėjančiu dėmesiu individui, antropologijos mokslais, kultūros filosofija. Pasak vokiečių literatūrologų ir menininkų, žodis gyvenimas tampa tarsi XX amžiaus pradžios meno burtažodžiu - Zauberwort: pig. Hugo von Hofmansthalio eilėraščius „Gyvenimo daina” („Lebenslied”), „Išorinio gyvenimo baladė” („Balade des äußeres Lebens”), Stefano Zweigo „Lebenslied” („Gyvenimo daina”), Rainerio Marija Rilke's eilėraščių rinkinį Gyvenimas ir dainos (Leben und Lieder, 1894). XIX amžiaus pabaigoje - XX amžiaus pradžioje užsimezga Hugo von Hofmansthalio, Rainerio Marija Rilke's, Thomo Manno, Hermano Hess'es, Stefano Zweigo kūryba, kuri išsiskleidžia „gyvenimo filosofijos” lauke [p. 23].

ENThe article analyzes how Bernardas Brazdžionis' early poetry can be read in the context of the ideas of the "philosophy of life" of the beginning of the 20th' century. The content of the sense of life and the dispersion of the conception of life is also analyzed. The word "life" is quite intensively declined in the Lithuanian poetry of the 2nd-4th decades of the 20th century. In Brazdžionis' early poetry, the word "life" is one of the most important ones. It is a live and developing concept that is important when thinking about ultimate existential issues. The pathos of life that emerged out of the sources of vital ideas and that developed into the main content of art and philosophy is closely related to the Christian standpoint in the poet's lyrics. Brazdžionis' Christian world view encompasses intense experience of time. The conception of life as a separable flow (time modus) and correlative continuance is vivid in the lyrics. Time in Brazdžionis' lyrics is intensively measured by a human life's experiential modus elements - the evening, hour, summer, the youth, yesterday - that in their own way are measured metaphorically and symbolically. It is not the moment that is important but rather the sense of the flow of time that describes the continuance of life. The flow is understood and experienced as the major existential endowment. This is an important aspect of Brazdžionis' world view since it forms the basis for the renaissance-like joy of life. The article analyzes how Bernardas Brazdžionis' early poetry can be read in the context of the ideas of the "philosophy of life" of the beginning of the 20th century.
