Специфика информации и исследования генеалогических древ аристократии Великого княжества Литовского XVI века

LTStraipsnyje aptariama XVI a. Lietuvos Didžiosios kunigaikštystės kilmingųjų šeimų genealoginių medžių informatyvumas, analizuojamos problemos, su kuriomis susiduria istorikai tiriantys ir rekonstruojantys genealoginius medžius. Konstatuojama, kad giminių istorijos tyrimui genealoginiai medžiai informatyviausias istorinis šaltinis, akcentuojama, kad sunkiausia identifikuoti giminės kilmę, nes trūkstant laikmečio šaltinių, sunku nustatyti giminės pradininkus. Ta pati problema iškyla nustatant giminės narių skaičių bei moterų asmenybę (vardus, iš kokios šeimos kilusios), nes jos dažnai laikmečio dokumentuose nurodomos tik vyro pavarde. ENThe article discusses informativeness of genealogical trees of noble families of the Duchy of Lithuania of the 16th century, problems that historians who study and reconstruct genealogical trees are analysed. It is stated that genealogical trees are the most informative sources for the investigation into the history of families, it is accentuated that it is most difficult to identify the origin of a family because due to a lack of sources of that time it is difficult to determine the progenitors of a family. The same problem arises when establishing the number of members of a family and the personality of women (names, their backgrounds) because they often are indicated in documents by the name of their husbands.
