Summary / Abstract:

ENThe research goal of this study is to analyse and interpret the multilevel vision of Lithuania in the works of Józef Ignacy Kraszewski – from the myth of the Genesis beginnings, to the myth of the nation and the myth of the land, and mediaeval heroic personal myths. The writer proved the value of the pre-Christian culture of Lithuania by creating its half-fairy, half-historical, story.
