LT2021 m. birželio 26 d. Lietuvos Respublikos Seimas priėmė Korupcijos prevencijos įstatymo pakeitimus, kurie įsigalios nuo 2022 m. sausio 1 d. Naujasis Korupcijos prevencijos įstatymas sudarys galimybes ne fragmentiškai, o sistemiškai įgyvendinti korupcijos prevenciją Lietuvos Respublikoje. Straipsnyje apžvelgiami esminiai šio įstatymo pakeitimai ir reguliavimo naujovės, susijusios su visuomenei aktualiais klausimais ir viešojo intereso apsauga. Siekiama pristatyti Korupcijos prevencijos įstatyme įtvirtintų sąvokų patikslinimus, pakeitimus, atskleisti naujai įtrauktų sąvokų turinį, korupcijos prevencijos priemonių sistemą ir jos naudą, apibrėžti ypatingą, praplėstą Specialiųjų tyrimų tarnybos kompetenciją korupcijos prevencijos srityje bei supažindinti su kitomis korupcijos prevencijos reguliavimo naujovėmis. Be to, analizuojamos priežastys, lėmusios tokių pakeitimų būtinybę, ir vertinami numatomi pakeitimų rezultatai. ENCorruption is a latent activity, making it difficult to combat and almost impossible to eradicate from public life. The authorities are making great efforts to control corruption and limit the spread of corruption not only in the public but also in the private sector. Corruption or its manifestations can occur in various processes, activities or areas. On 26 June 2021 the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania adopted the amendments to the Law on Prevention of Corruption, which will enter into force on 1 January 2022.. The new Law on Corruption Prevention will enable the implementation of corruption prevention in the Republic of Lithuania not in a fragmentary but systematic way. The purpose of this article is to review the major changes to the Law and regulatory innovations to implement the corruption review in the public and private sectors. The analysis focuses on the clarifications and amendments of the existing concepts enshrined in the Law on Prevention of Corruption and reveals the contents of the newly introduced concepts; discloses the system of corruption prevention measures and its benefits; defines the special, expanded competence of the Special Investigation Service in the field of corruption prevention and reveals other innovations in the regulation of corruption prevention. In addition, the article analyzes the reasons for such changes and evaluates their possible effects. [From the publication]
