ENEqual treatment signifies the implementation of human rights which are laid down in international documents on human and citizens’ rights and laws of the Republic of Lithuania regardless of the age, sexual orientation, disability, racial or ethnic origin, religion, beliefs and other grounds established in the international agreements or laws of the Republic of Lithuania. The principle of equality is based on equal rights, responsibility and equal opportunities in all life spheres. A person should be treated regarding his or her work, regardless of his or her belonging to any group of persons. Successful implementation of democracy, social and economical advancement and security of human rights, professional and cultural perfection of persons depend directly on our personal efforts and the work of various institutions. Therefore, an active involvement of persons of different age, gender, family status, coming from different social, ethnical background is greatly encouraged. Every member of our society is equally worthy of respect and tolerance, everyone should be given an opportunity to seek education, professional development, career and self-expression in various spheres.
