Summary / Abstract:
ENThe story book of Juozas Aputis "Vieškelyje džipai" (Jeeps on Highway) is a work of long years revealing a picturesque creative palette of a well-known story writer, namely, author's aesthetic conventions, distinctive stylistic system, and maturity of the mind. Some short stories have been analysed in this article, as well as positive values depicted in them. This story book is considered a book of painful historical memory, shrewd insight into the complicated present, and intimate light of humanity. The book asks for seeking support, hope and strength in one's spirit, in native land, or in a prudent everlasting nature.
