ENIt is strange, but we have reached a level of historical development that needs state and society‘s efforts to sustain the idea of Lithuanian statehood. According to Mečys Laurinkus “Lithuania disintegrates not physically, but mentally and emotionally“. The future of Lithuania depends on ethos, i. e. on the spiritual ties between members of this community as well as trust in state and its institutions and respect toward its symbols (page 18).
