Summary / Abstract:

LTDisertacijoje aprašomas teksto pernaudojimo tyrimas, kuriame siekiama nustatyti, ar pirmosios Biblijos latvių kalba (1685–1694) vertėjas Ernstas Glückas naudojosi ankstesniais latviškais bibliniais fragmentais (1587–1685 m.). Senųjų tekstų sąsajoms nustatyti pasiūlyta tyrimo metodika, besiremianti pusiau automatine analize, o tyrimo objektu pasirinkti leksiniai gretinamų tekstų sutapimai, t. y. sutampančių žodžių kiekybinis bei kokybinis įvertinimas. Teorinėje darbo dalyje glaustai apžvelgiama Biblijos vertimo istorijos periodizacija, pirmosios latvių Biblijos vertimo istorija, tekstų panašumo tyrimai ir specifika. Praktinėje dalyje pirmiausia pristatoma tyrimo medžiaga, metodika bei tekstų sutapimo indeksas, vėliau chronologiškai aprašomi tyrimo rezultatai analizuotuose šaltiniuose skyrium (EE, LVM, LLP, UP ir VLH). ENThe aim of this research is to identify and evaluate the connections between earlier fragments of the Bible in Latvian (1587–1685) and relative passages of the first translation of the Bible into Latvian (1685–1694). The development of the methodology for the comparison of relevant texts determined the choice of the object of the study which is lexical text matches, i.e. the study provides a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of matching words of an earlier source and Glück’s Bible (GB). The theoretical part of the work discusses the history of the first translation of the Bible into Latvian by Ernst Glück and gives a brief overview of the history and specificities of the research on similarity of texts. Practical part introduces the methodology: the collection of data, methodology chosen, criteria and similarity index of texts. Several conclusions are made but the strongest influence on GB was made by Fürecker’s translations of pericopes which were later published in Vermehretes Lettisches Hand=Buch (1685) of 180 pericopes published in VLH, 85 from the gospel were reused in GB. 2.3. However, irrespective of the fact that some pericopes in VLH and their relative sections in GB exhibit substantial textual overlap, none of the 180 pericopes in VLH have a complete match in GB – they had been revised. Also the analysis carried out provides evidence to claim that the 1644 issue of Mancelius’ Lettisch Vade mecum (or a very similar later edition of LVM3) was a supplementary Latvian source in Glück’s Bible, but it was used selectively.
