Summary / Abstract:

ENThe article provides a brief overview of research on the Baltic languages in Sweden in the 20th century. The activities of linguists in the 1970s and 1980s are examined in detail. The article mentions the most important books published, as well as scientific conferences on Baltic studies held in Sweden. The co-operation between Slavists and Balticists of the former GDR and Sweden in the 1970s and 1980s is also briefly discussed.
