Problems related to expression of novice teacher competencies during teaching practice

LTSparčiai vykstant pokyčiams visuomenėje, vis daugiau dėmesio yra skiriama lavinimui ir jo tyrimams. Požiūris į mokytoją keičiasi, labiau akcentuojant jo profesinę kompetenciją. Daug mokslininkų tvirtina, kad mokytojo kompetencija yra esminis veiksnys sėkmingai veiklai. Pedagoginė praktika yra pirmas žingsnis tolimesniam mokytojo kompetencijų ugdymui. Tyrimo tikslas buvo įvertinti problemas, susijusias su pradedančiojo mokytojo kompetencijų išreiškimu pedagoginės praktikos metu. Tyrime dalyvavo 306 ketvirtų metų studentai, jau atlikę tęstinę pedagoginę praktiką. Tyrime buvo taikomas kokybinio atspindėjimo metodas: studentų rašto darbai, diskusijos su studentais, sėkmių ir nesėkmių kritinė analizė, pasidalinimas patirtimi, sukaupta pedagoginės praktikos metu. Tyrimo rezultatų analizė leido nustatyti sritis, kur būsimieji pedagogai gali susidurti su problemomis. Tai yra: būsimų mokytojų profesinės kompetencijos trūkumas; bendravimas ir bendradarbiavimas su klasės auklėtoja ir kitais mokytojais; mokinių asmeninės savybės; mokytojų asmeninės savybės. Pirma problemų grupė yra plataus spektro ir joje galima išskirti penkių tipų problemas: bendravimas su vaikais, vaikų pažinimas, pedagoginių tikslų nustatymas ir jų individualizavimas bei darbas su išskirtiniais vaikais (klasės lyderiais, socialiai apleistais vaikais). Galima teigti, kad 96,73 proc. studentų laiko tęstinę pedagoginę praktiką teigiamu reiškiniu. Daugiau kaip dviem trečdaliams respondentų ši praktika padėjo geriau įsisavinti konkrečios pedagoginės veiklos mokykloje teorinius pagrindus. Beveik trečdalis tirtų būsimų mokytojų suvokė šiuolaikinės mokytojo profesijos atsakomybę ir sudėtingumą.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Ateities mokytojai; Mokytojo kompetencijos; Mokymo praktika; Future teachers; Teacher's competency; Teaching practice.

ENDue to rapid changes in the society, more and more attention is paid to education and researches into it. The attitude to a teacher is changing with more emphasis laid on her professional competency. A big number of scientists point out teacher’s competency as a keystone of successful activity. Studies of pedagogical practice serve as first steps of future teacher competence development. Such situation inspired a research the aim of which was to evaluate problems related to expression of novice teacher competencies during the teaching practice. 306 4th year students, after their continuous teaching practice, participated in the research The qualitative reflection method was applied in the research: students’ written works, discussions with the students where future teachers analysed, critically analysed their success and failures, shared their experience accumulated during the teaching practice. The analysis of research results enabled to identify problematic areas for future teachers. They are 1) lack of future teachers’ professional competency, 2) communication and cooperation with class master and other teachers; 3) schoolchildren’s personal qualities, 4) teacher’s personal qualities. The first group of problems is wide-ranging and, therefore, five types of problems can be identified: communication with children, children’s cognition, setting of educational work goals and their individualisation and work with exceptional children. It can be stated that 96.73% of the students considered continuous educational practice as a positive phenomenon. More than two thirds of the respondents acquired a deeper perception of materialising theoretical foundations of educational work at school in a definite activity.
