Summary / Abstract:

ENMost of the names and the main topics of the legends about the burial monuments of the Middle Ages in the folk idea are connected with conquerors - the Tatars, Swedes and Frenchmen. The beliefs tell about the inviolability of the burial grounds, about the hidden treasures and ghosts. The article is provided with the list of the folk names of the burial mounds and the cemeteries of the late Middle Ages.
