ENThis phenom enological and literaturological essay exam ines the Lithuanian way and ability to experience happiness. The basis is personal experience and cultural texts: language, phraseology, fiction literature and ego-docum entary. Daily and creative, aesthetic joy are discussed; spontaneous experiences and forms of the expression of happiness are em bedded in natural culture. It is noted that the border between happiness and sadness is barely noticeable both in the Lithuanian nature and in literature. The question of how to m aintain happiness in the face of a pandem ic is answered: rely on land, grounded life, hum ility towards nature and the resources of natural culture. [From the publication]
