ENInstitutions of various congregations of regular canons - a monastery of tradition dating back to the 12th century, and developing in the 14th, 15th and 17th centuries - were operating in the Nobles' Commonwealth, Silesia, and Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The research into the resources of the libraries of regular canons has been open. Source database is the main problem of research. These are on one hand preserved book collections, and monastic archives - inventory lists of these libraries, acts of inspections and chapters, monastic obituaries, account books, and other duplicates and summaries of monastic documents - on the other. The cognition of the monastic legislation is the base of understanding the organizational rules of individual monastic libraries. The so-far research made it possible to gather information about a number of libraries of the congregation of Kraków - here the Małopolska ones - and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. They will give a full image of the culture of the book in the regular canons monasteries with time. This particular monastery actively participated in the religious and intellectual life of the historical Nobles' Commonwealth and Silesia.
