ENHistorically, food safety was a part of national regulation, so the EU food safety policy is quite phenomenal and associated with the implementation of the principles of the single market. The aim of the paper is to explore the peculiarities of the EU food safety policy in Lithuania, emphasizing the case of African swine fever. Methods of qualitative content analysis and semi-structured interviews are used. The aim is to reveal the main stakeholders and their position in the case of African swine fever.
