ENThe intention of the article is to explore the diverse manifestations of contemporary intellectual culture with due emphasis on its latest postmodernist tendencies. As a result, a broad theoretical exposition of the concepts of globalization, mass culture, its materialistic and hedonistic aspects, the crisis of truth, axiological and epistemological relativism, the rise of feminism, the triumph of anthropology, semiotics, and hermeneutics, the problem of human irrationality, the bankruptcy of eurocentrism, and a comprehensive list of various intellectual symptoms of the modern age is undertaken.
