ENThe article discusses the usage of the words 'atitikti' and 'atitikimas' in the language of the state documents. The loan-translation 'atitikti kam' is an old mistake: it was corrected by J. Jablonskis and is also mentioned in all of the works of linguistic standartization. Now this mistake is rare in the state documents: only several such cases were found in the internet.'The usage of the noun 'atitikimas', which is derivated from the verb 'atitikti', is more complicated. Neither dative, nor accusative can be used with this word and genitive is not always possible also. The usage of the word 'atitikimas' in the internet is more frequently incorrect than of the negative word 'neatitikimas'. The variants 'atitikimas kо', 'atitiktis ko' as the most correct and systematic are proposed by linguists, but they are rather rare in the real usage. The most popular correct variants are the homogeneous parts of the sentence with the conjunction ir and with the negative noun 'neatitikimas' - the constructions with the preposition 'tarp'.
