LTWittgensteino kalbos žaidimų mąstymas - vienas originaliausių XX amžiaus mąstymo stilių. Nors skirtas kalbos problemoms, jis turtingas įžvalgų apie filosofinio tyrinėjimo prigimtį, poleminių pastabų ankstesnio Wittgensteino kūrinio "Loginis-filosofinis traktatas" atžvilgiu. ENThe essay dwells upon the contrast between Wittgenstein's thinking in the "Tractatus" and in the "Philosophical Investigations". The discussion is centered around the notion of "general propositional form", which Wittgenstein held to be of the essence of sentence, hence of language. This is the thesis he repudiates in the "Philosophical Investigations". According to the new way of thinking, language has neither "general form", nor essence. It does not have any "grounds" either. What is characteristic about language is, according to Rorty, its "sheer contingency". The expansion of this thesis results in the acknowledgment of the contingency of history, of science and of philosophy. Hence our new task of philosophy as a "redescription of reality", and the equivalence between the notions of language - game and of Fate. At the end we have a critique of Wittgenstein's views, centered around the notion of "scontent".
