ENThe paper deals with the theoretical concepts of insanity in the late writings of Nietzsche. The emphasis is on the ontological aspects of the relationship between the insanity and the Art, insanity as the tragic mode of existence and the specific insight into Being. An artistic effort is characterized as the constructive illusion of the image, the forgetfulness of Being, and the way to provide visible shapes for the stream of alogic Being.
