ENThis article briefly defines the notion of subtitling by comparing three types of film translation and presents an analysis of Lithuanian subtitles in the cartoon Over the Hedge from the viewpoint of the spoken English discourse translation. The analysis focuses on the translation of slang, colloquial or informal words and idioms.
