ENIn Sweden, in the Carolina Rediviva Library of Uppsala University, one copy of Duke Mikołaj Krzysztof “the Orphan” Radziwiłł wall map of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania of 1613, with the description of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Benevolo Lectoris at the bottom is kept. The map is surrounded by a decorative frame and glued to the fabric with tassels, and its top and bottom are attached to the sticks. It is a universal wall map that can be hung on the wall and, if necessary, rolled on a stick to take on a trip. Cartographic research confirms that its prints were made in 1631–1645. The political events of that time in Europe and in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth determined the adjustments. After evaluating them, it can be assumed that the map prints were made in 1631–1933. Another assumption is that the map is a gift from Duke Christoph Radziwiłł II (Jr.) to the King of Poland and the Grand Duke of Lithuania Władysław Vasa. It could be presented in Vilnius, in August 1633, discussing the war with Moscow near Smolensk. The map for 2014–2016 was restored by the restorers of Uppsala University Library. The fabric was removed to reduce tension between the fabric and the paper. It was replaced with Japanese paper. Wooden sticks and fabric details are preserved and stored along with the map.
