LTApie krepšinį Lietuvoje knygų išleista pakankamai daug. Dažniausiai jose išsamiai aprašomi komandų ir krepšininkų pasiekimai, mažiau trenerių ir beveik nieko neužsimenama apie krepšinio teisėjus. Juozas Jankauskas - FIBA garbės teisėjas, daug metų paskyręs teisėjavimui, ryžosi užpildyti šią spragą Lietuvos krepšinio istorijoje. Knygoje aprašomas Lietuvos krepšinio teisėjų nueitas kelias 1922-2012 metais. Tai trečioji knyga, skirta Lietuvos krepšinio 90-mečiui. Pirmosios dvi - "Jie dovanojo Lietuvai krepšinį" ir "Jie platino ir gilino Lietuvos krepšinio upę".
ENThe book provides an overview of Lithuanian Basketball Referees traveled route starting from Kaunas Selection and LFLS Men's teams game which took place on April 23, 1922 until the first official Lithuanian Women's Basketball Championship game on October 1, 1922 in Kaunas until January 1, 2012. There is also an overview of the first Soviet occupation of Lithuania (15.06.1940 - 22.06.1941), Nazi German occupation during the Second World War (22.06.1941 - 08.05.1945) and an extremely complex and long second Soviet occupation of Lithuania (24.02.1945 - 11 03.1990), restoration of Lithuanian independence on-March 11, 1990 and Lithuanian Basketball Federation's (LBF) return to the FIBA family on December 21, 1991. There was the first Basketball Referees Course held in Kaunas on April 28, 1924 after which four referees received the First category license and eight referees received the Second category license. They were the first officially certified Lithuanian Basketball Referees. Among them there were five women. Lithuanian Ball Game Union (LBGU - now Lithuanian BF) was accepted by FIBA on February 26, 1936. The first Lithuanian International Basketball Referee was Nikodemas Cerekas (FIBA license No. 2601 in 1936). Another two Lithuanian Basketball Referees Mikalojus Zaroskis (No. 2602) and Stasys Sackus (No. 2604) became FIBA Referees in 1939. At the same time Arturas Andrulis received FIBA Referee Candidate license (No. 2603). The 2nd European Men's Basketball Championship was held on May 2-7, 1937 in Riga. There were not any Lithuanians among 7 International Referees. [...].
