ENIn the 1970s, the first permanent photographers started their work in Šiauliai, and the first photo studios were founded. The comparative early appearance of photography was determined by the important roads that led from Šiauliai to Riga, Kaliningrad, Warsaw, Berlin and the fact that in the city the industry and trade was growing rapidly, the wealthy population increased in number, so photographers could make a living. The first photo studios in Šiauliai were founded 155 years ago.
