Jan Kazimierz Muszyński (1884-1957) - profesor farmakognozji Uniwersytetu w Wilnie, a po wojnie w Łodzi, utalentowany rysownik roślin i preparatów farmakognostycznych

ENThe scientific output and social activity of professor doctor Jan Kazimierz Muszyński was an object of the doctor dissertation of Daniela Kaszczyk-Grodzicka and numerous publications of other authors. However, among the long list of the talents of that outstanding scientists his great talent as a drawer was omitted. It was especially recognized at those times, when there was no possibility to take pictures of microscope images. Jan Muszyński used to illustrate the scientific publications of Mikołaj Kuźniecow, the professor of botany and the director of the Botanic Garden of University of Dorpata, who employed Jan Muszyński as an assistant, because of his drawing talent, even before his graduation from the faculty of pharmacy of the University in Dorpata with the diploma of a commissioner. Jan Muszyński was also an author of Pharmacognostic atlas for students and pharmacists published in Warsaw in 1923 year, which includes lots of his drawings of microscope sections of curative plants.
