ENIn the article, the usage patterns of pronominal adjectives in Old Lithuanian texts by M. Daukša are analyzed. It is discovered that the use of such adjectives is to a much greater degree governed by syntactic factors, than in Standard Modern Lithuanian. It is conjectured that such usage may be accounted for by the information structure of the sentence, the pronominal adjectives perhaps marking the topic of the sentence. It is also hypothesized that such correlation may be due to the influence of Slavic opposition of brief and full adjectives.
