ENNew research conducted at The Polish Language and Culture Centre at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences focuses on the synthetic description and its functioning specificity of languages and literatures in multicultural Lithuania, from the age of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to contemporary times, with a reference to historical, aesthetic, linguistic and folkloristic discourses. The subjects of this research are: bilingualism, a category of a ‘small homeland’ (native realm) in some cultural minorities of Lithuania (Belarusian, Polish, Russian), with the Polish and Lithuanian languages and literary relations, being the dominant inquests. The outcomes of these explorations will be publicised in the conference paper series titled: Identity on contact of cultures and Bilingual Polish and Lithuanian writers. Bilingualism in Polish and Lithuanian cultures. The first stage of the research will be concluded with the publishing of two (linguistic and literary) monographs in 2019. [From the publication]
