LTStraipsnyje pristatoma Griškabūdžio Kristaus Atsimainymo bažnyčios fasado sienų tapybos fizikinių tyrimų medžiaga. Ultravioletiniais ir infraraudonaisiais spinduliais atliekami tyrimai yra įprasti molbertinės tapybos restauravimo praktikoje, tačiau Lietuvoje dar itin retai tokiais metodais tyrinėjama sienų tapyba. Atliktų tyrimų duomenys suteikia papildomos informacijos apie objekto tapybos sluoksnio būklę, ankstesnius restauravimus ir pertapymus.
ENThe UV luminescence and reflected IR analysis of the wall paintings on the northern façade of the Griškabūdis Church of the Transfiguration of Christ provided information on the condition of the painting layer, previous conservations and repaints, which are invisible for the naked eye. Alterations of the inscriptions above the represented saints have been identified, and the earlier texts of the inscriptions that are now covered with a layer of paint have been deciphered. An IR photo clearly shows that one of the ceiling boards had been replaced and the missing part was later covered with painting to reconstruct the overall composition, which can be seen from obvious differences in the painting manner and execution technique. A UV luminescence photograph shows the marks of the last conservations and repaints on the painting surface – repainted backgrounds, restored places with crumbled paint at the connections of base boards and other damaged places. While comparing the visible view of the painting with IR and UV luminescence pictures, we can make objective assumptions about the former conservations, repaints, alterations of the composition and the condition of the authentic painting layer.
