ENOperation of international hotel chain "The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group" in Klaipeda is analysed in this article. Problem that prevails in this hotel chain's hotels in Klaipėda is formed and raised in the introduction. That is under-exploited opportunities in optimizing services offered and expanding the chain's operations in the region. Therefore, it is important to find out (ascertain) which services are most popular and have the potential for the development. First part of the article introduces the concept of hotels and services, the classification of hotels according to various methods is presented. It introduces assumptions of international hotel chains establishment and possible hotel management forms are discussed there. In the second part statistical data of international hotel chain "The Carlson Rezidor" is being analysed, that reveals the real situation of chain hotels in Klaipėda. International hotel chain's situation analysis in the world, Europe and Baltics is carried out. Problems are raised, which solved would provide opportunities for "The Carlson Rezidor" hotel chain service expansion in Klaipėda city.
