EN[...] The research presented in this scientific study provides a theoretical justification and conducts a comparative analysis of theoretical and methodological approaches to social innovation in international and national economics which has allowed the identification of opportunities and perspective directions for the adoption of the most effective foreign forms of social innovation. The study consists of three parts, where mentioned research tasks are consistently implemented. The first part of the study justifies the need for and relevance of social innovation striving for sustainable society, the analysis of the concept of social innovation is performed, the classification of social innovation based on the approaches of various scientific schools is presented. Relying on the European Union policy on promotion of corporate social responsibility, the ways for realization corporate social responsibility were revealed. The concept of socially responsible investing as a mean of creation a long lasting societal value was examined giving practical examples and statistical evaluation. The analysis of conceptual approaches to the definition of public-private partnership was conducted, an objective necessary to develop new regulatory and legal approaches that allow taking into account the capacities of all business entities when organizing social innovation was disclosed.
