Text highlighting tool: software prototype implementation as module for "E-investor" project
ENText Highlight Tool is a software prototype for E-investor platform to expand its functionality and prepare for further semantic text analysis researches. The tool is designed for user, who follows market events using news articles, published on news servers, highlighting the most important information. To convert this information to valuable data, plenty of web pages must be read. However, doing this, some fragments may be forgotten. Therefore, Text Highlight Tool protects user from forgetting valuable fragments, he highlighted, by offering a manageable archive of the articles with highlighted information, saved to his own database. Web pages with highlighted fragments saved to the database can be reviewed even if the source page is removed from the news server. The user can be confident that important information and his efforts will not be missed. After the data is collected to the database, semantic analysis process starts in order to create a dynamic news flow filter for user, adapting to the changing requirements. News filter is adjusted using ontology mechanism, created using selected semantic web languages (for example RDFS or OWL), to ensure maximum quantity of the most accurate results.
