ENAccording to a recent Eurobarometer survey, 46 per cent of the population in Lithuania trust the media, which is higher than the EU average. Radio is the most trusted media type (66 per cent), followed by television (62 per cent), the written press (53 per cent), the internet (43 per cent) and online social networks (28 per cent). There are 14 national printed dailies published in Lithuania. Newspapers also have their own websites. Due to the development of information technologies, i.e. online media, the circulation of print periodicals as well as the income of the print media from advertising has been shrinking. The Lithuanian radio market is divided between one strong public broadcaster and several private broadcasters. Radio advertising is decreasing. [...].
