ENThe Lithuanian war novel was written in Lithuania and in emigration. The war novel written in Lithuania is widely discussed in this article. In K.Marukas’ novels „Kam patekės saulė“, „O mūsų tiek mažai“, „Kareiviškas romanas“ the road of Lithuanian war formation from Russia to Šiauliai and Klaipėda is shown in detail. The life in Lithuania occupied by the Germans is depicted in A.Bieliauskas’ works „Darbo gatvė“ and „Ji mylėjo Paulį“. The writers base their stories on real facts which happened in Šiauliai suburb Aleksandrija. Šiauliai is often shown in the works of KJankauskas: Šiauliai during World War II is shown in the 2nd part of his novel „Ne pirmą kartą“.
