ENChoice of the names of the Biblical personages as a part of Biblical phraseologisms in certain cultures reflect not only universal Christian values, but also nationally related concepts. This article presents the linguoculturological analysis of Biblical anthroponyms in the Russian and Lithuanian languages based on dictionaries, language corpora and other sources. It shows similarities in the characteristics of personages regarding international Biblical phraseologisms, as well as differences in those characteristics based on special features of various confessions as well as national cultures and historical experiences.
