LTŠis straipsnis - tai lietuvių moterų autobiografinės prozos autorės Birutės Pūkelevičiūtės romano „Devintas lapas“ analizė. Juo siekiama parodyti, kad moterų autobiografinė proza psichologine ir intelektualine prasme yra įvairesnė nei moterų kūrybai primetami ją nuvertinantys standartai; kad ji turi fragmentišką, bet atkuriamą savo istoriją.

ENThe article deals with women's autobiographical prose, with the novel "The Nineth Leaf" by Birutė Pūkelevičiūtė. The author maintains that a woman's autobiography is rich and diverse psychologically and intellectually, it has its own history. Pūkelevičiūtė's novel is a book of memoirs: it reveals Lithuanian woman's postwar social reality. The writer concentrates her attention not on woman's suffering and nostalgia for the native country but on the individual free choice, woman's will and self irony, ability to construct her own being.
