Summary / Abstract:

ENLocalisation and dating of the first temple are probably some of the most popular and at the same time most controversial topics in the research of the history of Vilnius. There are several hypotheses concerning its location, image, and confessional belonging. This article aims to examine and compare arguments of various researchers and to provide a more complete opinion on what the first temple of the capital of Lithuania was and what information it can provide about the urban environment of medieval Vilnius.
