LTUrbanizuotos teritorijos Klaipėdos r. sudaro apie 44 proc. Tyrimas buvo atliktas 6 didesniuose miesteliuose. Visuose pastebimas nedidelis medžių bei krūmų asortimentas, vyrauja liepos, eglės, mažai gyvatvorių, krūmų ir daugiamečių gėlynų. Želdynai yra seni, sodinti prieškario metu ir papildyti sovietiniu laikotarpiu, Dituvoje – kolektyvinių sodų palikimas. Nėra bendros, miesteliams unikalios, želdinimo koncepcijos, gėlynai sutelkti tik centruose, vyrauja vienmečiai augalai ir gėlinės. Nesistengiama pasirinkti estetinio ekonominio želdinimo – kai atsižvelgiama į bendrą visuminį kraštovaizdį, namų stilių, gatvių ir komunikacijų tinklą. Daugiametės gėlės ir krūmai, želdynuose sudarė labai mažą dalį.
ENIn the Klaipeda district, about 44 percentage of total area is urban. The main and biggest town is Gargždai, it also is the centre of district. In this work the gardening situation in 6 towns: Gargždai, Priekulė, Agluonėnai, Vėžaičiai, Veiviržėnai and Dituva was analysed. The analysis was carried out in 2016 spring-autumn seasons. In all territories the plant assortment was very small, there were only a few species of trees and scrubs. In all areas dominate Tilia, and Picea genus plants, but Quercus in Agluonėnai and Gargždai dominate too. There the green areas were planted long time ago, one period was – before War II and second – in soviet time. Only in one place in Dituva, which is established in the place of collective gardens, there are not old trees, but there also is not any public area gardening style. The problem comes with not correct pruning of old trees in all places. With that are connected plant diseases and no esthetical view too. In all towns there is not feeling of originality and uniqueness or accent of place differences. More imaginative are only the centers of all towns. In Priekulė more interesting places are in four town parks and Minija River bank. In Vėžaičiai, the place of old manor and church, there is a residual alley of old trees but some of trees are dead and new ones are not planted. In the flower gardens in all 6 places dominate seasonal and annual plants. Among perennial flowers more popular are Astilbe, Hosta and Iris plants but usually, at the place of flower gardens are planted Mountain pines, or grows grass.
