ENThe judicial material does not provide for many references to the crime of duels. Only two documents were found, which mention duels and their outcomes. They are mostly identifiable from the complaints and evaluated in didactic literature and cases as a negative phenomenon, which needed to be avoided and any provocations had to be ignored. Invitations to duels were made both in the urban and rural environment. The noblemen of different hierarchical positions, including Tatars, invited and were invited to duels. Duels were solved by pistols and swords.
