ENThis article contains information gathered in the Lithuanian villages to the east of Volga in region of Saratov. The records were made from persons who belong to the last generation of residents perceiving themselves as Lithuanians and from their children and grandchildren assimilated to Russian language and cultural environment and not keeping Lithuanian rites, traditions, folklore and speech. The author notes that in the Lithuanian villages to the east of Volga there are preserved unique features of Lithuania Aukštaitija dialect, which fact makes the materials of the expedition to be a valuable monument of the Lithuanian grammar.
